PFM Survivors and Asst. Pastors Getting Cheated… There May Be Recourse…

Those who worked for PFM/Mudman even for just a day within California’s borders do have recourse. You don’t even have to be a CA resident, all you need is to have worked for any PFM/Mudman or related entity. The state of California has given you a private right of action by deputizing you with all the powers of the “CA attorney general” to bring a law enforcement action against the violating entity. As the lead representative in the lawsuit, you would also represent all other similarly situated folks harmed by PFM.
Also, if you currently are an assistant pastor based in California who has been “misclassified” as a 1099 independent contractor or as “exempt” and you are not getting paid for overtime , phone reimbursement, supplies, meal & rest periods or other unreimbursed expenses, you have lots back wages and money owed to you. In California this type of labor code violation is called “wage Theft” and it is penalized very harshly in the golden state. If you have a wife and kids to support and are struggling to make ends meet you need to pray about this.
Finally if you are an employee at your church and your senior pastor is unaccountable and a bully………after filing a PAGA lawsuit he will repent before the Lord. You need to pray about this but if you are going to take action but you need to file the PAGA notice before the one year statute of limitations runs out. Filing a PAGA action in California would be the way to get around Montana’s weaker labor laws and shorter statue of limitations that the Montana based attorneys are facing. Finally PAGA allows you the survivor to circumvent any existing Arbitration agreements and allows for virtual unlimited discovery because you are acting as a “deputy attorney general” as opposed to a regular run of the mill plaintiff.
