Praying with and agreeing with that beautiful prayer of confession and repentance. Amen.

Our 3 year old grandson, Bennet , who was born with only half a heart (HLHS), will be having his 3rd open heart surgery in the next couple of months. This Tuesday, March 8th will be the first step to prepare for the surgery as Bennet will have a cardiac catheterization.

Please pray for all to go well. I’m so proud of our son and daughter in law, as they walk through this with their precious boy. There is such a paradox of emotions; Trust, fear, hope, sorrow, weeping….and in all that, they are looking unto Jesus. Please pray for mama and daddy and thank you for praying for our little heart warrior.

I had a heart catheterization last week so I can relate.
The weight on your son and daughter in law must be immense…I’ll pray for the whole family, including the wonderful grandparents.

  4. Em says:

Lord, i praise Your Name, i know that You ARE there in their midst – comfort Nonnie and her dear ones with the sure knowledge of Your presence, Your love and Your perfect will…

  5. Nonnie says:

    “How shall I pray?
    Are tears prayer, Lord?
    Are screams prayers,
    or groans
    or sighs
    or curses?
Can trembling hands be lifted to you,
    or clenched fists,
or the cramps that knot my stomach?
Will you accept my prayers, Lord,
    my real prayers,
rooted in the muck and mud and rock of my life,
and not just my pretty, cut-flower, gracefully arranged
    bouquet of words?
    Will you accept me Lord,
    as I really am,
messed up mixture or glory and grime?”

Nonnie’s #5… those ARE prayers, living prayers rooted in Faith – sometimes even faith is confused and pained… beautiful – God brings comfort, we don’t manufacture it

Could use some prayer. Long story short, the last few months have been very stressful following my moms surgery. We are blessed that there’s no chemo needed right now but she’s been dealing with a wound that hasn’t healed and now back pain that makes her almost immobile.
She’s going for PT but isn’t getting relief. she is getting very discouraged and I am getting very frustrated with feeling so helpless.
We need some answers about what is going on. And some rest.
